On our first day waking up in Honolulu, the 7th November, we went to go to Sans Souci Beach Park to do some snorkelling. It was an okay snorkel, although as you can see by the photos there wasn’t anything too impressive (other than the Morven fish).

We went back to the car, to find that the battery was flat. Then Tom remembered that when the valet parking people brought our car to us, they had the headlights on even though it was broad daylight. Tom knew instantly that he had to turn them off otherwise they would forget and get caught out, although one thousand “can we help you with anything else sir” later, Tom had forgotten. Much frustration later, not just with the valet driver but also with the support car that never came, and then the support car after that car that never came, but then the first support came after Tom had already jogged back to the hotel, we eventually got back to the hotel to shower and get dressed up for dinner. This whole dilemma consumed about four hours, so now the total time that the Trump International had wasted from us was about seven hours. Needless to say, the Trump International got NO tipping from us.
Firstly, we enjoyed another walk along Waikiki Beach, and took in the sunset.

The thing that Tom is doing with his hand is the Hawaiian ‘shaka’, which mostly translates to the Aussie thumbs up.

We walked straight off of the beach into Duke’s Bar, and had a massive American size dinner after enjoying the performance of a live band.

Tom really enjoyed the Kona Longboard beer.

The wedges that were served with dinner were like mini waffles, but wedges. They were delicious, but it did not help our body mass.
