sonic the hedgehog

04-Sonic_the_Hedgehog.jpgSonic the Hedgehog is probably my all time favourite computer game. I used to play it on the Sega Mega Drive, and I was an absolute guru at it. Just had to share this confession with the world.

I may or may not be about to double my monthly internet quota on downloading Sonic the Hedgehog anime and games :D

working at dare with jordan

Today I woke up, rolled out of bed, and *started* to do the usual “gourmet breakfast” followed by Starcraft with my just-as-keen-Starcraft-playing neighbour. However 5 minutes into the game Jordan called with an offer to work with him for the day (albeit for not much money) to help deliver furniture with him. This actually sounded like fun, considering I really had nothing to do today, and I’m kind of in the broke. Plus, it’s a good opportunity to hang out with a mate. It ended up actually being quite very hard work, and we were both sore by the end of the day (it’s not his usual job either, delivering furniture). In the end, I got paid quite reasonably, and got a good workout as well. Tonight I managed to get some good quality Starcraft playing time in with Ben, so now I’ve got that fix as well!

Tomorrow I think I’ll spend the morning working on the lawn for an hour or so, getting ready for the first spraying of kikuya death.

monica’s 21st and earth nightclub

Monica had her 21st party at her house on Saturday night. It was a Gods and Goddesses theme, although I seriously ran out of time to get a costume in order (I was intending on going as a Protoss High Templar from Starcraft). There were a few crazy people that dressed with not much but a sash over their upper body – I think they well and truly paid the price as Monica lives in the hills and it’s a fair bit cooler in the hills at night. It was great to see all the people I hadn’t seen for months, and a great night was had by all.

After the party winded up, Darius, myself, and Ed had planned to head into Earth nightclub to see one of my favourite artists L-Hornett from Pendulum. Morv came with us as a spur of the moment decision, and Sari (Darius’s girlfriend) came in as well. Unfortunately Darius was unable to quickly find a car park, and they (allegedly!) both decided to go home. When we walked in after Morv eventually got a park, it was pushing 2am, and MPK was on – I rate MPK above Pendulum! I reckon MPK is trying out some more chilled-out DNB these days. L-Hornett was almost as good as MPK, but the speakers were distorting and the fine treble was not heard at all. That night I got 3 hours sleep and I had to get up for the Toy Run! (see next post)
