It’s now been a long time since we got back from our honeymoon, and I’m disappointed with myself for not having already finished blogging about it! Anyway, this post continues on the blogging of our honeymoon.
So now let’s continue our honeymoon stories! 29th October. We drove our rental convertible (ironically usually with the roof on, due to the constantly burning sun) down to Big Beach, possibly the biggest and in some respects (scenery, sand texture and colour, length and width), the best beach in Hawaii. The wind and surf was up a bit, so snorkelling was limited, but we did have a go and saw lots more fish, and had a good long walk on the beach in the beautiful sand.

We then went to a beach with black sand, which was sand that formed from volcanic rock. As a side note, we found out that interestingly, white sand beaches are formed by parrot fish that eat hard coral and then poo it out to form white sand.

Then we went to a built-up area in search of dinner, although got distracted by the sunset. Tom did a highly illegal 7-point-tourist-turn, cutting off a bus, so that we could get a park and enjoy the sunset.
More honeymoon blogging to come!
