I love this game! Thanks Paul!
Here is my memorial banner

Personally I think they should post you out a Pepsi for completing the game. Instead you give them free advertising.. makes sense!
Anyway, you can join the hall of fame of completing this game here:

My latest hobby, black boys.
Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get time to go collect seeds from some local black boys for growing my own black boys.

I am pleased to announce (even if I am only announcing these things to myself, but hey..) that I now own http://tombammann.org.
I’m relatively sure that everything should just magically turn into http://tombammann.org instead of http://tombammann.org, but who knows, really, I’m new to the whole domain name thing. I’m considering buying http://tombammann.com as well, just for fun, and having it auto-redirect to http://tombammann.org. The reason I chose a .org is because from what I’ve been able to find out, the .com and the .net are a little too business orientated for my personal site. Although the .org means an organisation, and I should technically be using a .name, who the hell actually uses the .name domain. Maybe when I’m a quadsquillionaire I’ll just buy every possible permutation of domain names involving the words tom, thomas, and bammann.

Before reading this post please note that I am only ranting on about my experience with Microsoft from over two years ago, and no doubt a lot has changed since then, and consequently I’ve possibly written some incorrect statements in this post. Please leave a comment below if there is anything you believe I have got wrong or left out.
In a previous post I bagged the crap out of Microsoft Outlook in regards to its lack of ability to be able to export data to a non-proprietary format. I did not include the full story, and Peeps has pointed this out to me. I will endeavour to shed some light on the limitations of Microsoft Outlook. Read the rest of this entry »

Thunderbird is a stand-alone email client that is highly configurable, and a sinch to mangage all your emails. It’s capable of some very funky stuff. It’s better than Microsoft Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook on so many levels. In fact, it’s better than Microsoft on any level, and I maintain it is THE BEST email client there is. For years I’ve been having issues trying to keep track of my passwords. Everything we do these days involves passwords. Technology is evolving quicker than the human mind is evolving with its capacity to be able to memorise all these passwords.
Solution? Keep all your passwords in a centrally managed database.
This creates a problem - what happens when someone discovers your little diary, or that piece of paper stuck under the desk, with all your passwords on. Assuming the diary that you keep in your purse or European carry-all isn’t SSL encrypted, you are totally exposing yourself to the potential of identity fraud.
Solution? KeePass Password Safe.
KeePass Password Safe is the ultimate tool for storing passwords. It’s intuitive and easy to integrate for copying and pasting stuff into forms, and highly secure. I use a floppy disk to store the key file to open up my passwords database, which I can hide around the house. I make it so you also need to know my master password, just in case the disk falls into the wrong hands! Mind you they’d need to use my computer as well, which being password protected with my “other” master password would make life incredibly difficult for any intruder… unless they just want to sell my computer for parts. That’d succ!
You can sort passwords into categories, sub-categories, and sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub categories if you are that way inclined. You can store all sorts of details with each password, such as other account information or whatever. If you make yourself a key-disk I highly recommend creating a backup copy and stashing that at a friends house, away from where you keep your backed up data (which I’m hoping you store at a different friends house
).

This is a current snapshot of what I consider to be a somewhat random list of music artists I dig.

This isn’t so much what I’ve been up to, rather my mum! She was on the news yesterday as a healthcare staff working in a hospital. I recorded and encoded the news article for you to download if you’d like to see it, but it’s still 15 megs.

A very lame, yet classy joke from Arie:
A chicken and an egg are lying in bed.
The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face.
The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and says
“Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question.”
If you don’t understand the joke, continue on to see the answer…. Read the rest of this entry »

- Massive respect to the author of the plugin called Download Beautifier. From now on you will see very nice download icons on this blog!
- This next plugin is called Alexify. It runs a little javascript that brings up a thumbnail of any website when you hover over a href link from the blog.
- The third new one is Code Snipplet which displays code nicely in my posts, such that I don’t have to convert the code to that ugly stuff before allowing it to display.
