You are looking at a small retrosnub icosicosidodecahedron. It has 112 faces, 180 edges, and 60 vertices. It is my lucky shape for uniform polyhedra, as it is number 72 in its series. How cool is that? Click on the image of it to go to a visual index of all uniform polyhedra in the series.

check this out - a little room defender that fires heaps of foam pellets at anything that moves .. set it up with an exit timer in your house as you leave, then disable it before it starts hurting you

Well it seems my effort to sleep before 2am have foiled, yet again. This now means that for the last entire week, i have not slept before 2am. In fact, last night I didn’t sleep until 6:30am, and saw the sun come up! But I was fairly involved at that time still finishing off the final format for this blog site.
I think the reason for this ridiculous sleep patter at late, is too much protein. I never eat red meat, and saturday night i ate a massive steak, a delicious one too. I think this huge amount of meat in my diet is forcing my body to not sleep. This lack of sleep isn’t bothering me yet, as I still get up by 9am without any dramas.

I went for a cool ride (literally!) up Greenhill Rd to Mt Lofty, to take a photo of the sunset. Unfortunately I only had one photo left on my camera, and didn’t want to delete any of them (all from the bike show) so I tried to use it wisely! I liked how the orange sun rays were shining through the rain - although my camera doesn’t really do it justice.

Check out the pics from the motorbike show i took at wayville today! I spent close to three hours looking around, and I’m locking myself into either the Kawasaki ZX6-R, the Honda CBR 600RR, or the Yamaha R6 for my next bike. What do you all reckon? I spoke to heaps of people, and I reckon it’s time I get down to the mallala raceway to practise riding skills. I swapped details with some guy who’s going to get me into an open day of his club in the near future. I can’t wait!
I thought this paint job was probably a bit too distracting for my next bike, though:

I’m not really too sure why I’m starting to write a journal. I think it’s because I keep forgetting why I’m doing things. Like waking up every day to go to uni. Why am I doing this. What was my plan for today. What was my plan for the week. Why did I even need to have that plan for this week, anyway?
And.. how do I know that I don’t need to keep a journal, if I don’t have one - what reference source can I use to assure myself that I don’t forget these things that I would otherwise remember. Like - how do you know you remembered something, if you don’t realise you’ve forgotten something as soon as you did. This makes no sense. It will be an interesting experiment to see what goes on within these pages.
Two things on my mind right now.
1. Who is the mystery chef
2. Why has no one (that I know of) ever used a perpendicular flow intake.. actually.. hmmm… I probably shouldn’t talk about uni stuff here just in case key words get indexed from here into a search engine, and some foreign engineer steals my ideas.
On that note, I should really be writing my ideas down for uni in the new hard book I got. Which reminds me, I forgot to email Reid about his DeltaE simulation code from his thesis. Well that can wait till Monday - why am I even thinking about this stuff now at 2am on a Saturday.
